Do you have a stake in the economic and social development of the Gulf Savannah region?

Become a member of Gulf Savannah Development and contribute to the ongoing development of our unique region.

GSD is an incorporated, not for profit organisation run by a Management Committee made up of representatives of the Shires of Burke, Carpentaria, Doomadgee, Etheridge and Mornington. The organisation is funded by its local government and other members, and through revenue generated from projects funded by government and other agencies.

It is the mission of GSD to be the conduit for information and activity that helps the Gulf communities achieve their aspiration as a dynamic region.

Our key stakeholders are Gulf Savannah residents, the Shires of Burke, Carpentaria, Doomadgee, Etheridge and Mornington, business and industry, government agencies, investors, visitors to the region and those wishing to learn about the region.
