To identify the extent and causes of economic leakage in the region, and identify and initiate implementation of agreed strategies to address the leakage.

Outcome

A report on the extent and causes of leakage was completed in March 2008, and action is underway to identify and initiate implementation of agreed strategies to address the leakage. Further implementation will be taken up in the Regional Investment and Migration Project.
