Cobbold Gorge, located about 90km from Georgetown, is rich in beauty and history.
The Gorge is unique, hidden away within the rugged sandstone formation. It is extremely narrow, closing to a mere two meters wide in places, with spectacular 30 meter cliffs on either side. The overall length of the gorge is about six kilometers and consists of a series of water-holes and rock falls, however only the last 500 meters is accessible by flat bottom boat.
The Terry family welcome you to a truly outstanding and unique property. Apart from the every changing views, and the 10,000 head of Brahman cattle on Robin Hood Station's 1284 square kilometers, it also contains the breathtaking Cobbold Gorge, along with the Cobbold Village.
Two Cobbold Gorge tours operate daily from the village and range from pure relaxation to soft adventure, or experience the sheer excitement of a helicopter flight over the property. To cruise through this gorge is an awesome and unforgettable experience.
