Forsayth is the terminus of the 'Savannahlander' Cairns to Forsayth rail trip. This area is located within the Etheridge Goldfield and en route to the Agate Creek Mineral Reserve. Call in at the Post Office for information about local sights and activities. Visit the stone hut and inspect the display of agates and gold at the Goldfields Hotel. The area is rich in mining history and a word with the locals may reveal a story or two about some of the mining relics you can see when you visit the area.
