Moonstone Hill Resource Reserve
The Moonstone Hill Feldspar Locality is situated on one of several small scoria vents surrounded by flat lying basalt lavas. 'Moonstone' feldspar occurs as crystals filling gas cavities in the lava with gem stone material up to 30 cts. Moonstone is characterized by a silvery-white to blue sheen called 'adularescence'. The resource reserve is located 90km south of the Lynd Junction on the Kennedy Development Road.
